Sona Masoori India Gate Rice
Originally grown in the Indian states of Andra Pradesh and Karnataka, Sona Masoori is a medium grain white rice. It is also light, low in starch and aromatics, making it ideal for Indian and Chinese dishes. Sona Masoori can be used in both sweet and savory dishes, such as biryani, fried rice or idli.
Sona Masoori contains less starch than basmati rice, so it is easier to digest.
Tip: For better taste and appearance, soak the rice in water for 10 minutes before cooking.
